Yesterday I traveled by “bamboo raft” from Guilin to Yangshuo. It was one of the most amazing boat trips I have ever taken. This is what it looked like:
I’m sitting on the roof of my hostel right now, surrounded by those mountains. This is why it’s impossible not to travel.

How did you go about booking the bamboo raft? I’m wanting to head to Guilin in a few days, but I’m a bit worried about the rain…

I just booked the trip through the hostel I was staying at in Guilin. I can’t remember exactly how much it cost, but it wasn’t too much. The ticket includes a bus ride from your hostel to the river and then the boat trip. You have to take another bus (basically a truck with some benches in the back) to another little town called Xing Ping, and then an actual bus from there to Yangshuo. Even though it’s a little inconvenient to make all those changes, it’s definitely worth it! The trip was beautiful! Good luck with the rain..
